I’ve stepped out of wedding mode and into birthday mode. I’ve gotten two orders for birthday cards for 40-year-olds. This is the first one. Apparently Morten (the guy turning 40) is blond and not too happy when things don’t go his way. The woman who ordered the card seemed very happy with it, she started laughing the minute she opened the envelope. I call that success!!!
I entered the card at this past week’s KOM challenge at scrapping.no; Double Up – double everything on your card. The main image and text didn’t have to be double, but I thought why not. The text isn’t exactly the same on both strips, but it’s not far from it. If you think the first photo looks a little weird this time, it’s because I had to put it flat and shoot at an angle to get the dimensions in the photo. The strips and the right image sunken down into the actual card won’t show properly if you take a “normal” photo of the card.
The image is “Two Toby” from Mo Manning. It’s printed on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics, as always.
PP: “Blåbärsylt” and “Bulle med blåbär” from Maja Design’s “Fika” Collection.
CS: Bazzill blue and green (don’t remember their exact color names).
Other materials used: AC thickers, Inkido pearls, Inkssentials Crackle accents (inside across the entire image), MM tiny alphas in black.
I’ve used the following Copics to color my images (all three of them):
