Det er kanskje litt tidlig med julesanger nå i midten av september, men det er hvertfall ikke for tidlig for julekort!!
It’s never too early for Christmas cards!!
Med flere dies og stempler jeg ikke tidligere har brukt, i tillegg til nye ark fra Pion Design, var dette kortet en fryd å lage.
I had such a good time making this card, using several dies and stamps I haven’t used before, as well as the new patterned papers by Pion Design.
Når jeg så utfordringen på CopicMarkerNorge-bloggen om å lage et kort som ikke var kvadratisk og med et tall på, var jeg ikke sen om å finne frem en die fra GoKreate til å lage basen på kortet mitt med. Og det MÅTTE jo bare bli julekort når jeg hadde Pion Designs nye julekolleksjon å leke med. På dette kortet har jeg brukt arket “Church” i 6×6″, hele Silent Night-kolleksjonen er nydelig, akkurat som alt annet Pion kommer med.
When I saw the current challenge on the CopicMarker Norway blog (make a non-square card with a number) I just knew I would end up using a GoKreate die to make my base. And it just HAD to be a Christmas card when I had Pion Design’s new Christmas collection to play with. I’ve used the 6×6″ “Church” paper for this one. The entire “Silent Night” collection is gorgeous, just like everything else Pion Design makes!!
Tallet som skulle på kortet måtte jo bare bli 24. “24 december”-stempelet er fra Magnolia og er stemplet med Memento i fargen Rich Cocoa på en tag stanset ut med en Magnolia-die. Den har også blitt stemplet med snøflakstempler fra Stempelglede i Distress Ink Iced Spruce, som også har blitt brukt til sverting av kanter. I tagen er det festet litt osteklut, litt bånd kjøpt på spole på Bikuben og en snøflakcharm fra Kort og Godt festet med scrapper’s floss fra Karen Foster i fargen “bone” (den er hvit).
The number going on the card just had to be 24. The “24 december” stamp by Magnolia is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on a tag I die-cut using a Magnolia die. I’ve also stamped snowflakes on the tag with a Stempelglede stamp using Distress Ink Iced Spruce, I’ve also used my ink blending tool to add this color to the edges. I fastened some cheesecloth and a bit of ribbon to my tag, as well as a “Kort og Godt” snowflake charm attached with some white Karen Foster scrapper’s floss.
Søte lille Mimosa med snøfnugget er også stemplet med Memento Rich Cocoa, og fargelagt med Copics, som vanlig med mine kort. Stemplene rundt omkring på kanten av trykket er alle fra Kort og Godt. også stemplet med Rich Cocoa.

Ikke akkurat uvanlig hos meg: innsider som er relativt like som forsiden. Jeg har brukt en blanding av dies fra DieNamics og puncher fra Martha Stewart til å lage snøfnuggene, kakeservietten helt bakerst er stanset ut i kraft med Cheery Lynn-die’en “French Pastry”. Perler fra Melissa Frances og Kaisercraft får pynte snøfnuggene.
Not unusual with my cards: insides that resemble the front. I’ve used a mix of dies by DieNamics and Martha Stewart punches to make my snowflakes, die-cutting the craft doily using my Cheery Lynn “French Pastry” die. Kaisercraft and Melissa Frances pearls adorn the snowflakes.
Nærbilde av den første innsiden. Tekststempelet fra NSS er nytt for meg, og også stemplet med Memento Rich Cocoa. Her har jeg også brukt de samme snøfnuggstemplene fra Stempelglede som jeg har brukt på tagen på forsiden, stemplet med Distress Ink Iced Spruce også her. Kantene på den hvite kartongen og kartongen bak (Bazzill Horizon) har blitt rufset godt for å lage litt dimensjon.
Close-up of the first inside. The “North Star Stamps” text is new to me, I’ve used Memento Rich Cocoa on this one too. I’ve also used the same snowflake stamps by Stempelglede that I used on the tag, stamped with Distress Ink Iced Spruce. I distressed the the edges on the white cardstock and the one behind it (Bazzill Horizon).

En liten ekstra titt på et av snøfnuggene som pryder baksiden. Disse snøflakdiesene fra DieNamics syns jeg var utrolig fine, og snøflakfrelst som jeg er får jeg aldri nok varianter!!

Til slutt: en titt på Copicsbruken på kortet. Jeg har i tillegg brukt B90, som er en selvlaget farge, på dette kortet. Blenderen har blitt brukt mye i kombinasjon med både B90 og G000 for at jeg skulle få den fargen på kjolen til Mimosa som jeg ønsket.
At last: a look at the Copics I’ve used. I’ve also used B90 (a color I’ve made myself) on this card. I’ve used the blender a lot in combination with B90 and with G000 to get the right color on Mimosa’s dress.

Henrikke’s birthday was on Saturday. Living too far away to just stop by her house for a quick visit, I decided to send her this card instead. 
Coincidentally, this happens to be the same card I made for the new Magnolia challenge we’re revealing at Papirplaneten today. Pop over to Papirplaneten’s inspiration blog to see what the other girls on the design team have made and join in on the fun by making a project to fit our new challenge.
I made the card with Maja Design papers (7th of March, 6th of April and 7th of April, all from the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection) and a set of GoKreate dies (Large Frilly Frame #6) for the base. I love these dies by GoKreate – as if by magic, cards made with these frame sets automatically appear more interesting than just plain old regular 6×6″ ones. Tilda with Small Gift is diecut with a Spellbinders die (from the set “Opulent Ovals”) and mounted on dimensional tape. I’ve had the lace in my stash for ages, the same goes for the blue ribbon, bought at Scrap & Sånn, which was a scrapbooking store in Trondheim. Sadly, it closed a few years ago, they had the best selection of ribbon I’ve ever seen. The flowers I’ve used are a mix from Wild Orchid Crafts, Kort & Godt and possibly even Papirloftet and Magnolia. The little dragonfly is most definitely diecut with a Magnolia die, the same goes for the heart swirl I”ve added. The little dew drops I’ve added on the dragonfly and also in a few other spots are by Staz. 
A tag hidden behind the image, made with another Magnolia die. The stamp by Kort & Godt reads “A hug for you”, perfect for just about any occasion. I’ve used more of the lace and the blue ribbon on this tag to pull it out, along with a cute little button from Melissa Frances and some white scrapper’s floss by Karen Foster to tie the whole thing together.
The insides are made very simply, I’ve added more Opulent Ovals diecuts with a handwritten, personal greeting, unreadable after playing with the image in Photoshop. The butterfly borders from the back of one of the design papers replace the lace on the front, while I’ve added another tag with a tiny little bit of text behind one of the panels.
The back. Again simply done using the same elements as the front. I did, however, swap the bulgy roses with a flatter hydrangea, making this card slightly more snail mail friendly than it would have been with roses on the back as well as the front. The text is once again by Kort & Godt, stamped with Memento Espresso Truffle. It reads: “Good friendship brings many joys. Thanks for being you and happy birthday”.
Last but not least: the Copics I’ve used to color my image. I’ve also used B90, which is a color I’ve made myself.
