Juleklem {Mo’s Dream Team}

Hi everyone! It’s the 13th of December, which is known and celebrated as St. Lucy’s Day in the Nordic countries. In Norway, Sweden and Swedish-speaking regions of Finland, as songs are sung, girls dressed as Saint Lucy carry cookies and saffron buns in procession, which symbolizes bringing the light of Christianity throughout world darkness. This is done early in the morning, before the sun rises, and each girl in the procession carries a candle, with St. Lucy leading the way with a wreath of candles on her head. What I should really have for you today is a card with St. Lucy on it. I don’t, but I do have a cute little Christmas fox to share.

I printed Mo Manning’s Winter Fox with a low opacity and colored it with Copics using the no lines technique. I popped the entire panel on a Papertrey Ink Aqua Mist card base using foam tape. I added a coat of Wink of Stella to the poinsettia, and three little Kort & Godt pearls in the center for a little bit of embellishment. I made the eyes and nose shine using a black glaze pen, and I used my 0.03 black Copic pen to add the whiskers.

I made the rest of the card pretty simple – stamped a Norsk Stempelblad AS sentiment on a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock using Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel dye ink, and finished the card off with a few Papirdesign enamel dots.
